Continuous rotation redundant sensor. The unit uses 3 potentiometers placed at 120  in respect to a central pin to detect the rotation. This mounting way guarantees continuous redundancy, two by two. The microcontroller of the electronic board reads and calculates the actual angle value and sends it on a CAN BUS line. The following four working modes are available by parameter selection: - Measuring of the absolute position in one turn - Measuring of the absolute position in one turn with turns counter. - Measuring of the incremental position in multi-turns - Measuring of the absolute position in multi-turns with turns ratio setting (for counter and incremental functions the position reached is not internally stored ) ROTAX typical application is on a electrical slip ring collector between the truck and the turret, this allowed rotation angle measuring and CAN BUS signal connection together in only one solution.
